On July 28, 2010, Georgia Governor Sonny Perdue signed a Proclaimation honoring the contribution to dentistry made by The Emile T. Fisher Foundation for Dental Education in Georgia, Inc., which celebrated its 25th anniversary on August 20, 2010. Present to witness Governor Perdue's signing were, from left to right, Dr. Mike Hagearty, Mr. Dale Crail, Dr. Emile Fisher, Mrs. Beverly Allen, Governor Perdue, Business Manager, Barbara McCollum, Dr. Jimmy Talbot, and Dr. John Harden.
The Foundation consists of a Board of Directors from across the state. This board includes not only dentists and others in the profession, but also members of the community committed to enhancing oral health in the state of Georgia.
